And I shot a wild bird, but," She paused for emphasis, letting the word 'but' hang in the air, and she sighed and shook her head sadly, "I made the mistake of letting my brother do the cooking. It hadn't finished cooking before the orcs had attacked, and my brother took the bird out of the fireplace. So there it sits!" She waved her hand in the general direction of her home. "On the hearth, half cooked and spoiled. Unedible, I'm afraid. You know what this means, don't you?" She got up off the chair. "It means I have to go hunting again, and I don't have the strength to pull a bow."
