My opinion is Bulldog fans will show up no matter where they play.Even if It's in the parking lot of Canton Centra Mall.Something to keep in mind, the Canton McKinley-GlenOak game (GlenOak is a FL team) draws crowds in the area of 15,000 each year.Yes GlenOak pays to rent Fawcett Stadium, but even when they bring FL opponents into Fawcett Stadium, they still draw good size crowds from the FL.Perry has renovated their stadium and added more seating to both sides.Have you seen their stadium lately? It's actually coming along pretty good. Also the Bulldog fans have traveled farther than Stark County to play in either smaller stadiums,or with a low count on tickets from other programs.Bulldog fans had no problem attending the Alliance games when their stadium Isn't much bigger than Lakes if at all.How can you forget the Bulldog fans in 1999 and 2001 only getting 2,000 tickets, which all got bought up,traveling all the way down to Columbus to watch the Bulldogs play Grove City.If Bulldog fans will travel that far with only 2,000 tickets aloted to them, well you can bet your last buck Bulldog fans will travel throughout Stark County to watch the Bulldogs play Federal League teams in their stadiums. These will be one hot ticket to get your hands on.Season ticket holders will be the first to get theirs.Trust me,Bulldog fans may gripe and moan about the seating and amount of tickets they get,but Bulldog fans WILL go to these games at FL stadiums. Now look at the attendance at Fawcett Stadium with the Bulldogs playing FL teams this way---I believe most of the FL games against each other are played on a Friday night.Even if not, let's say a Saturday night. Now what happens when the Bulldogs play say Perry on the off night instead of the same night all the other Federal League games are played? This is the way It's going to be worked out. What you're looking at is one very good football game in Stark County, which will bring out fans from other FL schools to watch this match up who saw their team play on the off night. What we have is one very good high school football game being played in a stadium that holds over 23,000.No long driving distance for Stark County football fans anymore. If the Bulldog-GlenOak game can pull 15,000--then I don't see it being impossible for a Bulldog matchup between Perry,North Canton,Jackson,Lake,or Boardman to draw close to a 20,000 crowd and maybe more because of the fans looking to see a good high school football game on the off night right here in Stark County.Heck, even if It's 15,000 that's at least 11,000 better than Cincinatti LaSalle--13,000 better than Waterdown Canada---13,000 better than Roosevelt D.C.---9,000 better than Nordonia--10,000 better than Cleveland Heights---and so on and so on and so on.I personaly look for some pretty hefty crowds at Fawcett Stadium when the Bulldogs play some of these Federal League teams.Better crowds than most high schools from out of state and county bring with them.Heck the best Grove City could muster up with all their road crowd bragging was maybe 1,200 of their fans in 2000.Look for their side to look like a ghost town AGAIN when the Bulldogs play them this year at Fawcett.Bottom line---bigger crowds at Fawcett Stadium!!Bottom line---I don't care if the Bulldogs play Lake in the Hartville Dairy Mart parking lot,the Bulldog fans WILL be there!By the way, paul brown tiger stadium doesn't hold 23,000 seats. It's actually closer to maybe 19,000 if their cheap end zone seats don't fall apart or blow over like they have in the past. Also GlenOak beat Canton McKinley in 2000,so that's one more Federal League win to add to your stats. From 1995 to date It's 5-3.Thanks for checking in Keno,I always look foward to your comments.Look over what I posted and give it some thought.
BULLDOG BY 'CHOICE'--CHAMPION FOREVER!!!
