It seems that Dave Hoover's Canton McKinley basketball Jammin' Dawgs are the white-hot team at 8-2 off of dominating wins over the Lorain Admiral King Admirals (they should have had David Robinson on their team, he's also "The Admiral) and the Columbus Marion-Franklin Red Devils (Red Devils? Burn in H3 devils!). And the Canton McKinley Lady Dawgs are starting to cool off to an extent as they fell to 9-5 after winning their first six ball games. I think Curt Bucklew could use a revamping, he'll need it for the tournament run, far as I'm concerned. Friday, "St. Hoover's" Bulldogs will play against state powers Warren Harding High School and Lakewood St. Edward on Saturday. I just hope there are no fights in the Field House as there were at Mollenkopf Stadium in Warren when our fans turned on one another (how sadistic and sad). For the Lady Dawgs I hope they can hear the alarm clock because the clock is ringing......GET IN THE GAME LADY DAWGS! YOURE ARE VASTLY BETTER THAN 9-5!! And to the dawgs, I'll see you in the Field House for the action.....It's Hoover Time, Go Bulldogs!!!!!! (and McKinley fans...don't fight your own backers, it's unnecessary).
P.S. The answer to the last Bulldog Brain Buster was that Fawcett Stadium and Paul Brown Tiger Stadium both seat 41,000 when combined (Fawcett 23,000, PBTS 18,000)
Bulldog Brain Buster#6:Who is the all-time leader in points scored for McKinley football?
A. Treasure Humphries(Miller wouldn't mind putting her in pads!!)
B. DeMarlo Rozier(97'title run wouldn't be possible without him.)
C. Mike Doss(98' star still shines at Ohio State!)
D. Wild Fire(One touchdown is all he needs to get the record.
E. Stan Humphries(is the ex-San Diego Chargers QB related to choice A?)
The answer will show up in my next report. As always, GO BULLDOGS!!!!!
