What is the title of the book you're referring to? I've heard people mention the author, but she probably has more than one book. Or do you mean all of Pamela Dean's books? I'm curious, please let me know.
I agree. I hope she keeps ripping off talented people who have a grasp of great dialogue and putting it all into a HP fanfic. I hope she keeps writing because as I said, I love the story. I don't think it's the story that's really a problem here, everyone has their opinion and a lot of people don't like her style. Fine.
I just hope that as she continues to use material that isn't her own she learns to respect the original authors and _credit_ them. I have no problem with CC, we've never met. I have a problem with false pride - laziness - and dishonesty.
