I have recently acquired a black doll, cellulose I believe and probably around the 1960's. I think that it may have been used for promotional purposes and has "Mi Cho Ko" in oriental lettering and "La Pie qui chante" stamped into an oblong recess on its back. It has a very round head and is quite simplistic in its representation - very much like a piece of african art which doubtless it is meant to mimic.

The doll stands approximatley 14 1/2cm high, has open pierced ears. It is fairly roughly made with obvious seams. Arms, legs and head rotate.

Anyone have any ideas??? Please mail me ( Paul-k.reeve@virgin.net ) - Tx!
