Eric, here is my two cents, if this guy bugs you so much that it makes work no longer worth it ... then get out and find a job some where else. If that seems too extreme, then you have to get over it. What are your goals for this part time job? What are trying to get money? experience? full-time? Fuck this guy, why care about what he does for himself? Worry about your self and your job, not his. There are freaks, kiss-asses and assholes at every company in the world. All you need learn is how to be able to work with them and that is all. Don't let this guy drag you down. There are plenty of things to do with your life. As for your comment of " people of our stature (part-time) are not encouraged or required to go, so I'm opting out for those reasons," ... makes it sound like you are comfortable with the status quo or perception of what you should be instead of simply being who you are or want to be. It should be your choice, but not a copt out.
Remember that from what I can tell and what I have seen the key to being happy with one self is to be one self.

LAters, and Good Luck!

Greg
