  • Come to find out Curt wasn't behind this as I had thought... -- MIKIE and June, Monday, January 20, 05:05:17pm
he was. I want to apologize publically for anything I said toward Curt. Next time I will call him as I should have done and we have agreed to do.

To the all the no name shit talking no car having fucks: Stop trying to start shit between racers.

Mike was called out to STREET RACE, when you guys know he hasn't street raced in quite awhile, AND you also know that his car is apart and we are waiting on fiberglass so we can complete the car and paint it. Hell, the car is gutted right now, it isnt going anywhere for awhile.
All of this because someone has too much time on there hands and likes to start shit among racers to get their kicks.
You started all kinds of shit from accusing us of being thiefs, having no money, being scared, and getting personal. Then the threats started...again!
Mike talked to Curt a little bit ago and according to him, he had nothing to do with any of this. So, that means that all this was started by someone who likes to talk for him, whether he knows about it or not. Of course none of the posts had any names left so we would know who was doing the talking.
    We are done!

Street Race Suspect's Father Speaks Out
Ferreira Family Has History Of Racing
    Posted: 10:26 a.m. PST November 29, 2002
    Updated: 10:58 a.m. PST November 29, 2002

SAN DIEGO -- A suspected illegal street race took the life of a 20-year-old Chula Vista man on Tuesday. Now, one of the suspect's fathers is speaking out.

"It's exciting. A lot of young kids are doing it on the street, which is very unfortunate," Lawton Ferreira Sr. told 10News in June 2001.

Ferreira's words come back to haunt after police revealed that Lawton Ferreira Jr. was the 18-year-old at the wheel of a black pickup truck that slammed into the side of Fali Dolor's car Tuesday, 10News reported.

    Watch The 10News Report

Police said that Dolor was the 16th person to die this year in a street racing-related accident.

"I get chicken skin every time I hear of some kid that is killed because they were speeding on the street," Ferreira told 10News in June 2001.

He told 10News street racing is bad.

But police said that Ferreira's son did not get the message. Earlier this year police impounded Ferreira Jr.'s pickup truck and cited him for illegal racing.

Ferreira Sr. would not talk to 10News on camera Thursday, but off-camera he said that his son denies he was racing.

He also told 10News that as the victim pulled up to the intersection at Commerce and Camino Santa Fe he could see about a quarter-mile down the road and would have been able to see cars racing at him. He said that there are a lot of questions that are not being answered.

Investigators said that Ferreira's pickup truck and a Honda that fled the scene were going between 80 and 90 miles per hour down Camino Santa Fe. This is the second fatal accident blamed on illegal street racing in the past two months. In early October, George Waller Jr. allegedly ran his vehicle into the side of a Geo Metro killing two young people and seriously injuring a third.

George Waller Sr. refused to talk with 10News, but police said like Ferreira Sr., Waller Sr. has a history of racing.

Waller Jr. is charged with second-degree murder. Lawton's son is expected to face charges as well.

Police continue to search for the second drivers in both Tuesday's accident and the accident in October, according to 10News.

Bender was on channel 6 news the other night, claimin that there have been over half a million (500,000) runs at the Q.

Can you tell us how you make the math work on a HALF-MILLION passes?

Even if they had 4 lanes going at maximum capacity, the math doesn't work out.
If you had 4 lanes every 30 seconds ( which you guys claim to have, but don't ), 500,000 passes would take 1,040 hours of continuous racing.
If the track was open continually from 5pm to 11pm, that would take 173 events, You haven't had anywhere close to 173 events. Certainly not with 4 lanes anyway.

Bender you must really think your talking to morons, with the way you keep making shit up, and thinking no one will be smart enough to catch on.

  • SRA - Public Meeting Sat Night 11/23 -- Shawn, Thursday, November 21, 06:12:19pm
We plan on being at the Baskin Robbins parking lot to have a Mobile Community Meeting with the people who are really out there. The time is very right to NOT let the real issues go by the way side. The following will be on a flyer we will be handing out. "The Safe Racing Association and the motorsports community want to increase the awareness of the continuing need for a permanent facility for all forms of motorsports activities, especially for the "street racing" participants in our area. Everyone agrees that illegally racing on city and county roads and highways is dangerous and wrong. But it also must be emphasized that not every performance enthusiast is a reckless and thoughtless criminal. The vast majority of people who enjoy racing have absolutely no desire to harm anyone, including themselves. And if a track was available, they would certainly be using that for their motorsports activities. To show unity and support in a very positive atmosphere and direction, SRA and the racing community are coming together for a holiday cruise and gift donation for Police, Fire and EMT personnel benefit organizations. We feel it's very important for everyone to be represented, so we strongly urge participation from import car groups, domestic car groups, motorcycle groups, off road groups, civic and business leaders, concerned citizens, and anyone else who wants to make a difference by truly solving a growing problem in our community and area. If you would like to assist us or contribute to this cause, please call the Safe Racing office at 858 - 558-9492 or email: saferacing@k-online.com"

Let's all make a difference by getting everyone together.

    Thanks,
    Shawn

SAN DIEGO -- Illegal street racing claims lives in San Diego County each year, and the city attorney wants to take a new approach in the effort to stop it.
    Crackdown On Street Racing

Casey Gwinn Wednesday proposed a new law that would make it illegal to watch street racing. Gwinn said Wednesday that hundreds of spectators turn out at racing sites throughout the city each week, helping to fuel the illegal activity.

"Illegal street racing is about life and death," Gwinn said.

The "Spectator Ordinance" would bar anyone from knowingly attending a street race or being present during preparations.

Two people were killed in a drag race in Sorrento Valley last month. Police say that 13 people have died in illegal races so far this year in the county.

Also at Wednesday's announcement were the parents of a young man killed in a street crash. John and Cathy Flores said their 30- year-old son was a passenger in a racing car that crashed and killed him in 1998.

    LEGAL RACING

    RaceLegal.com
This Web site, run by San Diego State University, offers a safe alternative to illegal street racing. With funding from the State of California, RaceLegal.com operates a sanctioned 1/8-mile drag strip.

"If he had been racing in a safer environment, he might still be here today," John Flores said, his voice breaking with emotion.

Gwinn said the proposed law would allow officers to charge spectators with a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. He said the measure would also help to cut down on other criminal activities that go hand in hand with street racing, such as curfew violations and underage drinking.

The city's public safety committee will take up the issue Wednesday afternoon. If the ordinance is approved by the committee, it would have to be approved by the full city council. The city and county of Los Angeles and the city of Ontario, Calif., already have similar laws in place.

Gwinn said he also wants to see more legal venues for racing, such as the organized ones that take place at Qualcomm Stadium, where safety is a focus.
