Stephen,

I'm a member of Co K, 6th Texas Inf., "The Alamo Rifles" out of San Antonio. A couple of us are planning to do the Port Gibson March. I have a couple of questions. First, is the march linked to a reenactment? At the end of the march will the battalion continue further into the weekend with any other sort of living history activity? Is there a "combat" piece to the march, either during or at the end of it? I've read what was posted some time ago on the AC Board, but am still unclear, especially about whether or not there is a reenactment occurring near or where the march ends. It's a long drive, and blistered feet notwithstanding, I would be interested in finishing the weekend with a battle reenactment.

Respectfully,

Phil McBride
