I would say a definite requirement would be to make DARN sure the guys with Henrys use them CORRECTLY and REASONABLY. The last time I saw a guy with a Henry, he was the only one with that weapon, he was not aiming by any stretch of the imagination, and was shooting it at a near semi-automatic rate. He was what the US Army's Chief of Ordnance was scared of when the army was ordering muzzleloaders by the millions when reliable repeaters were available.

A suggestion would be that perhaps if the numbers are small, to concentrate them in the color guard. There is documentation for this, and it would force them to use their weapons responsibly.

Also, I have yet to see documentation for Henrys in the Red River campaign. I know Sharps and Spencers, and even Burnsides, but have never seen documentation for Henrys. I would like to see it if possible.

Please, please, please let the men with Henrys know they have a responsibility that goes along with their weapon. I can tell you that I should be there, and if I am, will be CS for the weekend. If I see anyone trying to show the world how one Henry can take on a whole battalion, he's going to be ignored.

I hope I don't sound mad or upset at all. I just know that any repeating weapon at a CW reenactment has the potential to be misused, and quite often are by farbs.
