Phil,

You guys and anyone at all have always been welcome to post on that board, and your absence has meant that the guys' "issues" who normally post on there--mostly FGLHA associates and friends, but not exclusively--have been what's discussed in the past. That can change at any time; you have always been welcome on there and you fellows just need to contribute to the dialogue. If you'll take an honest look at the threads (especially as of late, but I would argue mostly always) on the board, I don't think that you can claim that they are geared toward FGLHA interests. One solid criticism that Don and others have had of the FGLHA over the years is that we are too loosly organized. It's always been the goal of FGLHA to promote Trans-Mississippi Civil War history and the interpretation of the same, above anything else. The thread topics substantiate that claim, for the most part, although there are always some good-natured ribbing and inside jokes passed around to all. I don't see what you mean about people trying to dominate the discussions; everyone is always free to say what they want, period, which I understand has lead to some hurt feelings in the past, but I hope that you'll take my explaination on the FGLHA board to heart and realize that none of it is personal. I think the free flow of information and opinions is what will lead to progress and new ideas (and you'd probably agree, judging from your comments about experiencing censorship on the "Authentic Campaigner" board). Anyway, I hope all of us can lay our poltics aside for the good of the scene and the promotion of research and preservation of the CW in the TMD...
