Here's something else that gets under my skin. Under that whole "leathers" thread, Mike gets up on this soapbox like he's suddenly the guru of authenticity, making statements like the one Joe mentioned above, and others, such as "being authentic is like being pregnant, you either are or aren't", and "there is no shortcut to authenticity"....and all this just after he proclaims to the world that latex painted oilcloths "are just as authentic" as using a period recipe.

Folks, someone needs to step down or be removed from his position, or I won't be able to take the AC seriously anymore. Who is moderating the moderators?
