Subject: Happy Holidays that was a great poem darkling
In reply to: The Darkling 's message, "Happy Holidays from the Darkling" on 20:05:17 12/24/02 Tue

and now for your amusement:
>
>'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the
>manse,
>not a creature was stirring, well just one in black
>pants.
>Irons he slept by the fireplace next to his chair,
>Dreaming that the wielder might soon be there.
>
>Ian was out, no doubt bashing some heads,
>Or maybe Jake's, who was working with feds.
>Kenneth awoke, at the fire he just stared,
>Hoping the wielder would come if she dared.
>
>And arrive she did, the Witchblade aglow,
>"What do you want now?" she wanted to know.
>"To wish you a Merry Christmas, what else?"
>Sara thought his tone sounded quite false.
>
>The fire danced on the hearth as the wind gave a gust,
>A door had been opened, her instincts she'd trust.
>When, what to her wondering eyes should appear,
>In shades of ebon, dark and drear,
>
>With a coat of deepest black slung over his back
>Ian Nottingham, his silence an uncanny knack.
>More rapid than dragons his knives they came,
>He whirled and tossed and called them by name.
>
>Now Katana, Wakizashi, Longsword and Scim,
>Shuriken, Stiletto, Tanto and Dagger so slim,
>To the left of my Lady and now to her right,
>Miss her completely, as I am her knight.
>
>"My father commands by my hand she will die,
>But I cannot do it, I tell you no lie,
>Sara she stared at Ian in shock,
>the Witchblade was dormant, but out came her Glock.
>
>And then in a moment, Kenneth he did cough,
>He looked at Ian, "That is enough."
>She holstered her gun and was looking at Ken,
>"What's going on, why didn't he win?"
>
>Irons sat down with his usual smirk,
>Sara's eyebrow gave a quick quirk.
>"He failed, his knives flew to the rafters,
>for he knows that no man can serve two masters."
>
>"Gee Kenny, your words are all a riddle,
>And honestly, I feel kinda stuck in the middle."
>Ian fell to his knees, at her feet he did bow,
>His loyalty torn, what to do now?
>
>But Irons he did laugh, a sound quite odd,
>He smiled at the wielder, he gave Ian a nod,
>"It is Christmas, a truce I propose."
>Then gracefully from his chair he rose.
>
>"Just for tonight, let's have some fun,
>we'll go back to fighting January one."
>He passed some glasses and poured, a vintage quite
>rare.
>He sipped at his wine as Ian and Sara did stare.
>
>At last he exclaimed, ere his exit he made,
>
>"Happy Christmas to all,
>and to all Witchblade!"

Ian and Sara stared at each other
with dismay what were they to do now.

Irons is gone it is just the two of them

Ian looks at Sara and says in a deep husky voice.

Since I can't serve two masters on this night may I serve one you this night.

Sara looks agahst doesn't know what to say,
Witchblade comes all aglow with deep swirling red.

Sara sees a vision and as the red glow goes
the weilder says what the hell.
what to go out for some pizza.

Just had to add my very humble 1 cents in.
