Subject: Important WCS Announcement

Dear Witchblade fans and supporters,

Almost half a year into the campaign, the committee of Witchblade Central Station believes that there is nothing more we, as a fandom, can do to find a home for new episodes of Witchblade and the third season we all had our hearts set on seeing. Although during our time of active campaigning we have not accomplished the goal we set of getting Witchblade back into production and back on the air, Witchblade fans have nonetheless accomplished a great deal.

Witchblade fans raised - in only three days - $3,500 to fund a full-page advertisement in Daily Variety, that served to show those in the entertainment industry the immense fan support that exists for Witchblade, the show, and its stars. The Variety ad garnered considerable media attention for Witchblade, including mentions in the New York Times, TV Guide, and Wizard Magazine. In addition, Witchblade cast members were touched by this very visible show of support for their work and shared with us individual statements of support for the campaign in turn.

Witchblade fans donated over $2,000 to the New York Police & Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund, demonstrating support for the real-life counterparts of Witchblade's 11th Precinct, and demonstrating that Witchblade fans are among the most-generous, most charity-conscious in all fandom

Witchblade fans produced and starred in the "Voices of the Witchblade" project - sent to over a dozen executives, media contacts, and the cast of Witchblade - in which Witchblade fans literally gave voice to their support for Witchblade.

These efforts have brought the Witchblade community closer together and proven Witchblade fans to be a strong force to be reckoned with. While we may be ending the active fight to find a new home for the show, we will never give up on the quality television that is Witchblade, the immensely talented cast and crew of Witchblade, or the belief that Witchblade will be resurrected in some form - whether it be TV movies, re-runs, syndication, or new episodes - by those with a respect and hunger for intelligent drama.

The Committee at Witchblade Central Station thanks you for your support, your e-mails of encouragement and suggestions, and your participation. It causes each of us great sadness to make this concluding, farewell announcement. However, the site will remain open for the foreseeable future. Please be sure to check frequently for updated information on the current projects of Witchblade's cast and crew. They will always hold a place in our hearts.
