Subject: Sniper strikes again?

Just saw the news about the shooting at the Virginia gas station. The report released the caliber of the bullet, .223, which is the civilian version of the 5.56 x 45 the ammo used in M-16 or AR-15 rifles. The M-16 is full auto military issue. The AR-15 is semi-auto and civilian. The other rifle that would use this type of ammo would be a hunting rifle (numerous manufacturers) suited to small game.

The report also said that two men were seen driving away from the gas station in a white vehicle. Very possible that they are working in cahoots, ala Leopold and Loeb or Lake and Charles Ng. Either that or my first assessment holds and the shooter is younger than the typical profile and has to have someone to chaffeur him.

Also noted in the report was: "The Post on Thursday reported that the tarot card also contained a handwritten request from the sniper that it not be revealed to the media. Sources said some detectives had hoped that if they honored the request, the sniper might communicate with investigators again. Tarot cards, used mainly for fortunetelling, are believed to have been introduced into western Europe by Gypsies in the 15th century. Many tarot enthusiasts say the Death card usually does not connote physical death, but instead portrays a symbolic change or transformation."

It does appear that the sniper broke his own MO, shooting from the vehicle, at the school where it was reported there was matted grass, suggesting the gunman had lain in wait.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Beck
