That is *exactly* how I feel about the whole thing. Though I have to say that the scattering of fan fic stories and OT banter here have buoyed my spirits during these last few weeks of some tough RL issues. So I keep sending postcards, checking the sites, hoping for the best.

Oh, and Karen:
As much as I like to stay on top of political movements, I completely respect your desire not to have those notices posted here. I'm sure that the people posting are doing so only to share their passions with their "family" and friends, rather than a political agenda, but you're wise to wish to avoid conflict and potentially hurtful banter.

On a slightly humorous, if slightly political note:
My dad was considering running for local office, and asked me to make some sample PR stuff: banners, postcards & the like. I used a bunch of family photos as examples of what could be done, etc. My sample slogan?
"Vote for me because I'm cute and I have a beautiful kitty"

I think he coulda won with that one. ;-)
