Subject: OT: A Case of Evil or why USA Network is making me watch against my will

(sorry if this is old news. I don't know if this is the first viewing)

I'm sitting here watching the end of USA's original programing movie - Sherlock Holmes: A Case of Evil. I'm nervous, uncertain. Afraid of the pain but drawn close despite the potent possibility of addiction.

In short, I'm liking this. A lot.

It's well-written. Intelligent. Witty. Attention to detail (they included Mycroft!) Lovely parallels to modern-day life that seem oh-so-plausible (the first urban drug gang war). The only sour note being the awful British accent of the guy from L&O:CI. Otherwise he is a fine Moriarty.

And then there is the tall pale elegant arrogant brilliantly geeky hedonistic tortured soul of a hero. Reminescent enough to stir a few heart strings of this Ironmaiden.

It's making me ache more and more over Doug's rejection. If he helped make Case of Evil this good, oh what could he do with Witchblade?

I'm afraid. Very afraid.

DL
