Um... ok, maybe it's me but I don't think either Julia Roberts or Callista Flockhart qualifies as "Pretty-Pretty" Julia Roberts is confident. Callista Flockhart has a malnourrished-audry-hephborn kinda beauty, but other than that I think you're missing the point here. Yancy Butler has a natrual beauty but she's not the 'salon styled hair, fancy make-up, stillitos, and designer cloth's' type beauty in the manor of Christinia or Lutzicria.

'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' she was pretty, but am I the only one who thinks she lacked acting skills?

I disagree completely here. During the first season wat I liked about Witchblade was that none of the regulars were 'too beautiful for reality'. I don't think they'd activly try to make Yancy the most beautifulbecause everyone has a different idea of beauty. I think that with making the guest stars all sleek and hollywood typeish they draw a strong contrast to Sarah. I also agree with what Lark said about it having to do with occupational differences.
