Subject: Aren't there exceptions for parody?

As I recall from the "Gone with the Wind" case, copyright protections don't apply to parody. If that were the case, publications like Mad, shows like Saturday Night Live or Carol Burnett would have been put out of business immediately. Some of your work would seem to qualify in that category. I'm certainly not advising a legal battle over it, this is just my observation. WB is indeed being very shortsighted here. Some production outfits do recignize that things like fan fiction are a compliment and aid in promotion of the product.

Very sorry to hear about this, Donna.
