I, too, thought the finale had a lot to offer. I can't help but wonder why so many people are so disgusted over the admittedly disjointed direction that Ian has taken. Would you rather see him as the mopey Sarah-stalker? Not me. If you want to create sexual tension, then for pete's sake, give the man another interest.

As for the Gabriel thing, I was not at all bothered by the kiss. I have openly embraced this season's Gabe as a more worldly, old-soul type of person. If we are to believe that Sarah is 29 (isn't that what she told JFK?), then the age difference between the characters is minimal. And Gabriel's knowledge and intellect this season have been so very welcome. I am a tad bit skittish about the possibility of bad-guy Gabe for next season, but I'll go along for the ride.

Perhaps I'm the only person out here who does not worship at the feet of Irons, although I truly enjoy what the character brings to the show. I like where TPTB have gone with him, and I'm interested to see what is ahead for him.

Remember gang, this is only the second season of the show. The creative staff is still finding the vision of WB. I'm willing to hang out for S3 and see what they offer. The last couple of episodes went a long way toward redeeming it for me.
