1) The film is copyrighted and that is why the new little logo was implemented on the majority of networks. They can keep better track that way...

2) Videos fall under other copyright issues because the videomaker is playing or changing the creative image in a different way. Disclaimers on your site really do not serve any purpose and they do not stand up in court.

3) You don't want Warner Bros coming after you and they never give any warning. The Buffy fans remember well how many fan sites were shut down by the WB.

4) Getting the cast involved really isn't going to help. They have no say in the process nor would I want to have them put their employment on the line.

The only thing that can be done at this time is if Donna can get in touch with the legal department. I hope that a compromise can be made but it might be unlikely. Warner Bros. is very strict and not lenient when it comes to copyright issues.

Sorry, to be the bearer of bad news but this is my field and it isn't easy to be in Donna's position. I loved the videos and was just hoping that the WB/TNT "powers" would let them slide. I guess they feel that Witchblade is now worth money.
