The school is missing quite a few head bands that were made for the Senior Team black dresses and the Minor Team black dresses. There should be 16 headbands total, and only seven (7) were returned from the World Championship competition. Please check if you still have them and return to Kathy O'Malley at class this week. As so many of you know, Paul was away for three months training for a job that would take him overseas, forward deployed with the US Army, for one year. After a week of being home before he deployed (Yes, just in time for the feis...imagine that?!), he left early Friday morning for a few days in Georgia before deployment this Wednesday. He received and accepted a job offer this evening which will keep him home! I just wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and generous offers of help to me and the girls!

If your dancer is sick, please do not have them come to class or practice. If your dancer has had a fever of 100°F or more, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or a productive cough within the past 24 hours, please stay home. Basically, please extend your dancer’s school policy regarding illness to dance class/practice.

The workshop will be held tomorrow (Sunday) at the George School gymnasium. It is my understanding that everyone has been advised as to their designated time to dance.
Directions to George School:
The George School is at the corner of Route 413 South and the Newtown Bypass.
Drive past the main entrance on the right along Route 413 and make a right at the next driveway which is a gravel road.
(If you get to the next entrance, Farm Drive, you have gone too far on Route 413 South.)
The gravel road will take you to the parking area behind the gym. Walk around the side of the gym to get to the main entrance of the gym.

We have blocked Saturday, October 3rd from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for a dress sale at the scheduled Saturday practice at St. Vincent de Paul Church. This is an opportunity to sell solo dresses, shoes, jackets and school dresses. For shoes, label each shoe separately and place in a labeled bag. If you are selling a dress, please put your name, approximate size, phone number, and asking price on masking tape, and secure it to the inside back of the dress.

Unfortunately Maura had to cancel her 7-9 pm prizewinner - open practice at St. Vincent's tonight (Wednesday, August 5, 2009). Please check the message board for possible cancellations of both classes for next Monday at the studio (August 10th) and for both classes for next Wednesday at St. Vincent's (August 12th).
For the last two weeks in August, Tara O'Malley will be offering practice at St. Vincents on Wednesday (i.e., August 19th and August 26th) at the same times that Maura has been offering practice.
There will be no practice offered on Mondays at the studio during the last two weeks in August.
