Hello my Ryan School!
I would like to start by saying I know there has been alot of talk about, "are you doing mondays every monday,or is it wensdays." So here I am to clear up all your questions. First off.
Monday class will be run on every monday untill september this year.
Now. Just to let you all know upfront i will not be here the last two weeks of August, but it still will go on. Secondly, it will now be held at Saint Vincents for the summer.
The class will be on Mondays and Wensdays from now on. Meaning if you cant make one you can come to the other, or both if you like.
Every Monday and Wensday From 5:30 to 7 anyone from
Beginer,Noviceand advance beginner may come.
Every Monday and Wensday From 7 to 9 anyone from prizewinner, prelim , and open may come.
Now lets say you have some dances in advance beginner and some in prizewinner??? What i would like is, which ever you have more firsts in or dances left to get first in
to come to that class. so for example. You have a first in your real but none in your slip jig, hornpipe or treble, i would like you to come to the 5.30 class. This way i can have a chance to put you back up to speed and help you in the praticular area you need.
Finally, my last thing to talk about is what my class will entail.I will have Bridget O'Malley helping me in the 5.30 as much as i can get her, and we will be going over feis steps.I like to start my class with a warm up that will be giving the girls drills to help there turnout,lift,trebles "rally help" speed and posture. Things that they can do at home infront of the mirror to improve themselves also. Next i will do some light stretching and into steps where i will perfect from head to toe.
My 7 to 9 class, most of you have probally been to one of my class's so you know what to expect but if you havent. Its alot like what i discussed above with just a little more intensity.
And to conclude. I hope everyone has a great summer. My mother will be gone which is why i have asked her to do this and keep you all up to speed untill september. I think if you want to be ready for the Big Oireachtas
and really set a goal for yourself, then you must keep going this summer and not take a break. A week is ok, but if you are not going to class or doing anything for longer please take in cosideration that stamina is lost quickly, and the longer you practice and step up your stamina, the better you will be. The more breaks you keep taking, its just more work. So if you are down the shore or away. Take it apon yourselves to do this, because i will have no sympathy for those who have not put in the effort this summer and want to do well in 3 months starting september. But... to end on a happier note! i think the workshop went fantastic!!! i saw so many improvments in just that week alone, i cant tell you how happy it made me to see you all working so hard. It does pay off, no matter what anyone tells you, there is a time for everyone to get there glory. trust me! it will pay off. so here i end. please think about all that i said and take it into consideration and i hope to see you all sometime this summer. I have a question about knee injuries. Erin's knee has been bothering her since the Sexton feis on Sunday. The knee isn't swollen, and it isn't making any cracking noises (like my old knees!). She says it hurts her the most when she goes up & down stairs. Erin's not complaining about it 24/7, but I have noticed that she does have a slight limp.
I had hoped the problem would have resolved itself by now, but it hasn't. Any opinions/experiences before I reach into my almost empty pockets to go to the out of network pediatric orthopedist?
Any insight is appreciated!

I just got Erin & Megan's marks in my e-mail this morning. Megan placed in the Light Jig, but her number wasn't posted on the poster board at the feis. The same thing happened to Erin last year at this feis. Eventually it was corrected and Erin got her trophy.

Somehow AnnaClaire picked up the wrong shoes at the last shadybrook farms location practice. She thought the owner of the shoes she picked up had her shoes. However, she figured out whose shoes she had and this dancer does not have AnnaCLaire's shoes. So they must have been left at shadybrook farms class. Is there anyway to find out if they are there? Does anyone have a phone number for that location? They were new celtic choice shoes she had just gotten when she lost them. She thinks they were a size 3. Thanks for any info.

Christina rec'd a request for dancers to perform at a family reunion at Adventure Land, across from Neshaminy Picnic Park in Penndel, for approximately 15-20 minutes between 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Notre Dame High School is located on Route 206 in Lawrence Township, New Jersey.
The school can be reached from Interstates 95/295 by taking Exit 7A. Notre Dame is three miles south of Interstates 95/295 on the right.
From Route 1 North out of Pennsylvania, take the Lawrenceville Exit and then 206 North out of the Brunswick Circle. Notre Dame is one half mile north of the Brunswick Circle on the left.
Please park in the back because there will be another event using the front lot. We will go in by the back ramp near the cafeteria. Also, adults are welcome to bring beer, wine, etc to drink!

Only half of the head bands were returned last year after the parade. Kathy O'Malley is trying to get all of our parade supplies together and found that many headbands are missing. Please check you closets, etc. and return them if you still have them. Thanks!

I have 3 individual soft shoes that were found after classes. The sizes are 1.5 (not sure of the brand but the bottom is black), size unknown but is small around 12 (Hullachan brand)and a size 2 (blue inside- looks like Fays). If you are missing a shoe and believe it is yours, please email me at mmcpaul@msn.com. My daughter Megan McPaul attends Richboro on Thursdays and Saturdays. I will hold on to them for 2 weeks and then I will put them in the shoe bag in a bag labeled "Lost and Found". Please take a pen and put your dancers name in her shoes. It will help identifying lost shoes.

Does anyone have bloomers and /or a crown to match the green Ryan School dress? I'm looking for bloomers in size 12 or so. We attend the Wed. class at 5:30, and have also been going to parade practice on Saturdays. If anyone has them available for sale, please let me know. If not, are there any other suggestions on how to get them?
