Because de Lage figures in what I am writing about the War of the Austrian Succession, I would be interested in and most grateful for more information about his arrangements. Perhaps they are discussed by V. Brun, Port de Toulon, but I did not understand or did not read carefully enough. I know from that account that de Lage's enterprise was not popular with the sailors and he had difficulty retaining his crews. When his sailing was delayed, he had to demobilize one of his ships and reassign the crew to the rest, because of the number of desertions.
