There is just a quite interesting book published dealing witht the Ottoman navy. Author Tuncay Zorluy. Innovation and empire in Turkey. Sultan Selim III and the Modernisation of the Ottoman navy. Tauris Academic Studies, London/Neuw York, ISBN 978 1 84511 694 1.
In my opinion the contents are the high price about 70 euros worth, the used paperquality not.
The author give a amount of interesting information. I had contact with him about the possible sell of Dutch ships to the Ottoman navy and we are both trying to find more about this topic, he in Turkey, I in the Netherlabds
