The author/compiler of The Trafalgar Roll was another Scot, Robert Holden Mackenzie. The officers most likely to have remembered or reported the exact sail state of Victory at noon on October 21, 1805, would be the lieutenants, master, boatswain, and midshipmen. That's a long list, unfortunately.

Edward Fraser was the author of The Enemy [i.e., French and Spanish] at Trafalgar. I apologize for the error.
