Subject: Arveprindsen

Built as French merchant vessel Union, purchased by Danish Asiatisk Kompagni and renamed Arveprindsen, 13. 04.1805 sailed from Kopenhagen, via Dover to Canton, then after from Feb 1808 till Apr 1810 was armed as a frigate 22x18pdr & 16x8pdr. Taken by British at Kopenhagen.
Offered for sale in The Times 23.04.1823 & Public Ledger 18.02.24 31.05.24 (Arve Prindsen) Rebuilt and armed in 1825 at Curling , Young & Co shipyard at Limehouse.
Bought by Mexico 1825 and renamed Libertad. Declased into corvette in 1828.

My probem is . What happened to her between 1810 nd 1823?
It is possible that such ship was laid down for so many years?

With 'Arveprindsen' in London also was offered a teak built corvette MARIANE. I have never found such ship? French prize?
