The blog itself appears to be be well researched although sources are not specified. São Francisco Xavier is one of 14 ships of the line from the late 18th and early 19th centuries described at:


The blogger's account of the career of this ship, however, is far less detailed than for his other entries. On the same blog a list of 158 Naus and Navetas is at:


This is a later post (dated 25.09.2014) than the one we are discussing (dated 30.10.2013). This later post does not include São Francisco Xavier. It does include all 13 other ships of the line described earlier and ends with Dom Jão VI launched in 1816. All of which leads me to think that São Francisco Xavier was perhaps an uncompleted project after all.
