Thanks, Albert, point taken. The name is actually Bedr-i Zafer meaning Full Moon of Victory (Tuncay Zorlu 'Innovation and Empire in Turkey' p. 114) and is as reported in Ottoman records of 1800/1801 just after the ship was built.
