I am a recreational slalom skier with right foot back. I have recently torn my lateral meniscus on my right side and don't know how long until it mends. As I am mourning the loss of skiing over the summer, I was thinking about switching feet and trying left foot back. I enjoy skiing hard and doing a slalom course with my good foot back so I am not sure if it will be like starting all over take me many years to come up to speed with changing feet or if I will get a little time credited with my years skiing with right foot back. Has anyone switched feet and did they find it enjoyable or just frustrating?

I want to buy a ski for myself. I am purely a recreational skier who has learnt on holiday. I am 5 ft 9", female, weigh 145 lbs. I need a ski which "helps me " get out of the water as it sometimes takes me two or three pulls (my husband says this is purely in my mind). Any suggestions please (I did think about Connelly Outlaw?).
Also any suggestions of waterski shop in suffolk, north essex area which has expert sales staff? THANK YOU

Looking to update my ski I went along to view the new 2007 products from Obrien typically the new SS,and boy was I dissapointed the quality of the product was absoulutely appalling,unfinished edges,blemishes,and a general nasty feel about it,we have paid and put up with shoddy bindings for years,it looks like its about to happen with waterskis,you tell me why I should part with lots of hard earned cash to buy such a shoddy piece of equipment after all waterskis are not a cheap item.
I will no longer be thinking of a Chinese Junk as a Boat but instead I think of it as a Obrien Waterski.
One loyal Obrien waterskier gone and looking at other products.
