Subject: Back to Summer 2000

Wow. The responses on here are fast and furious. (sarcasm)

The posted answers for the Summer 2000 exam left a lot to be desired. In general, I'm in agreement with the answers stated. A few questions:

#16 --> I have no idea what this question is about. Can someone enlighten me?

#15 --> I think the answer is true. I thought that with the expectations theory, the basis is that expected interest rates over time are taken into account. Thus, the investor would expect a 6 year to equal a 3 year and a 3 year. Right or wrong, and if wrong, where?

#20) I understand where 5/5 came from (8.5 - 3). But I thought that the Krf was for a 3-month T-bill. This is a 1 year T-bond. Are they the same? Or is 5/5% wrong? If so, what is the correct answer?

#23) (previously omitted) --> a) .62 b) 1.6 c) 1.8 d) 2.5

I don't know if c&d are right, so someone please confirm or deny.

#24) Does anyone have any answers for this one?
