What your surgeon or doctor doesn't tell you is that once you get your gall bladder removed, you will have more diarrhea. No one bothers to tell you the bad things that could come from surgery, just the good. But I know how you feel. I don't even like to leave the house because I'm paranoid that I'll be in the middle of the highway driving, no exits near when I have to go, and when I have to go, I have to go NOW. My boyfriend hates it because he likes to go out to eat, and I never want to go, because I know that we'll eat, and then on the way home I'll have to go, or I'll feel sick. I hate it. But see, I was also diagnosed with IBS. I think a lot of people have bowel problems with gall bladder surgery, I dont know if it's just because of the surgery, but quite a lot of people I know have been diagnosed with IBS at the same time as their gall bladder problems. You could talk to your doctor, and see if they have anything you can be put on to control your bowel movements, or at least harden them up. I know they have anti-diarrheal liquid and pills, and I'm sure it would suck, but maybe that would help, especially if you were going to go out to eat.
