I had my gullbladder removed in 2002 and at the time it was a good thing. I realize the risk to my liver and the dangers as my gull bladder was full of stones. However, it was an organ that does a JOB so what to do when it is gone? I've had all of the same symptoms as all of you and it's driving me crazy. I have bile come up into my mouth, can't drink anything and bend over to pick up something because it will come back up, I have to run to the washroom 5-20 mins after eating as well and there is NO tracking foods cause this as it happens with everything. The bloating of my stomach and gas is ridiculous and makes me NOT want to even eat anymore. I sweat at night when trying to sleep and I get pains some times when I'm trying to eat. The pains are in the same spot as the gull bladder was and it feels like my food is trying to go through a spot similiar to a sand (time) hourglass. Trying to squeeze through a pinhole, the pain is severe and feels like I'm being stabbed. My friends have suggested taking enzymes which should help with the digestion of food. The doctors' tell you nothing after the surgery. Mine just said avoid fatty and greasy foods. Well Doc, how about avoiding ALL FOODS in general because of it makes me sick and uncomfortable. And how about the fact that I loose more than half of my meals within 5 mins yet I'm GAINING weight!!! I'm tired all the time too.
Well, so glad to have found a bunch of other people who suffer the same thing as me. Now I know it's not just "me" and that I may be facing this for the rest of my life. I have tried the enzymes this week and found that they are helpful with the gas and bloating.. I've been only on them for a short amount of time but I think this might be useful to be taking them. Will let you know.
