Sounds like your boyfriend has an illness or disease. Enzymes are manufactured by the Liver to help process foods and improve your blood etc. When the liver is diseased the liver starts to go haywire. Just a guess but Hepatitus strains tend to have the problems you've mentioned..

can ANYONE expain EXACTLY what liver enzimes are (AND what does it mean if they are elevated????)
