Subject: Barlow brick wall

I am seeking information about my GG/father Charles William Barlow who migrated to Australia on the "Mary Pleasants", arriving in Brisbane August 1857.
He married Mary Little in Toowoomba, Queensland 10th Jan. 1863. They finally settled in Stanthorpe and raised a large family. I have been unable to find any confirmed details of Charles' family or life prior to his arrival in Aus. At this stage I have him as son of James & Sarah (nee Williams) Barlow of London Tower Hamlets, but feel that this may be incorrect.
Can anyone help me? Neville
