Good day.
I have rp pppoe running on several machines, with SBC's pppoe dsl as the provider.
I currently have a home made nsupdate perl script that updates with a nameserver. Currently its set to run once every minute with a cron job.
However this seems to be a bit of overkill. I can rewrite the script so it does check for an ip change or check for dsl status, OR I can set the perl script to be run when rp pppoe calls for a ADSL stop and restart, or when it gets a new IP spit at it from sbc. Problem is I dont know where withing the rp pppoe scripts this would be ideal to do.
Any ideas? Has anyone done anything like this?
