Does RP-PPPoE support "PPP-Max-Payload" for baby-jumbo/jumbo ethernet frames, to allow larger than IEEE 1500 MTU across the ethernet segment.

Many Gigabit capable ethernet cards support jumbo frames.
i.e. we just want MTU=1508 "ifconfig eth0 mtu 1508" to get around needing to MSS clamp and fragment regular ethernet traffic.

A quick look over the source code to rp-pppoe indicates the last version was created on "2 April 2006" but this IETF draft was only published in March 2006 so I guess it does not support the feature.

Is there any momentum to add this feature ?

Tag-name: PPP-Max-Payload
Tag-value: 0x0120
Tag-length: 2 octets
Tag-value: binary encoded value (max PPP payload in octets)
