It's very sad the amount of racism that goes on in our country. Unfortunately when people think of racism they think of African Americans only, not Native Americans, or even Whites. I myself am Native & white. In the past few years I've experienced a huge rise in racism towards both. Either their aware that I'm native & make a coment that they were probably raised with (wild indian, going on the warpath,etc.), or they don't like us because were "white". Too many ignorant people out there. I tell my kids that we should feel sorry for them, because their lives are so sad that they have nothing better to do with their time then to talk about us, they must be ashamed of who THEY are.
Shake it off, their not worth your time. The best thing you can do is think of a good comeback incase it happens again - so you'll be prepared. I know many times I've been hit with this bulls#*! when I didn't expect it & then was so mad later that I hadn't "stuck up for myself". I've learned not to be so hard on myself, I'm not the one with the problem - they are, & I didn't ask for it. & YOU didn't ask for it either.
