Subject: educating my children

although i am not native american i have always been very interested in the culture. so interested that friends have argued with me about the reasons i donot celebrate on thanksgiving or columbus day. ive learned some truths not from school,but by reading books. now that my children are older [ 13 and 15] i would like to teach them that not everything that is taught in school is the actual truth. my question is this, where can i take my children in the worcester massachuttes area that people that are not native can learn about the culture?
