Subject: Song Lyrics in Onondaga!

Hello,
My name is Dave and I'm a big band singer here in New York City. My ancestry is not pure American though my ancestors lived in Syracuse, NY and were close to the Onandaga people there until about 100 years ago. I came across a pop ballad from 1933 written by Walter Donaldson and Joe Young called "Hiawatha's Lullaby". I found it to be very lovely song and I'd love to sing it. I did some research on Hiawatha and found that he was an actual ancient Iraquois leader. The famous poem "The Song of Hiawatha" by Longfellow is a mythologized account of Hiawatha's life. That said- I'd like to translate the lyrics of "Hiawatha's Lullaby" into Onondaga language. Can anyone tell me how I might go about doing this? There aren't many speakers of this language anymore but I figure there must be scholars who know Onondaga. Thank you for your help with this. Please feel free to email me.
