Subject: Or better yet, since Miss Universe will live and work in the USA, and deal mostly with a staff of English speaking people...REQUIRE that the delegates answer the question in English. No interpreters. I mean, would they give them an interpreter for the whole year?? I think not. And have you ever noticed that EVERY Miss Universe always speaks pretty good English, no matter where she is from?? I think that is considered in the judging, don't you?? If it's not, it should be.

In reply to: Spencer 's message, "Oh no, they're using that male Spanish interpreter again...the one that interrupts the girls all the time!!" on Sunday, July 13, 10:36:17pm

[> [> Subject: No that is terrible. English is spoken by many people but should not be required. Look how all these poor girls struggled with the English in the close-up videos. Miss Russia had to make up words, for instance! Let their personalities show by letting them speak their native languages. Moreover, trying to speak English is admirable but look at what happened to Miss Colombia. I think she would fair better had she spoken in Spanish.
