Subject: Advice required for Cashmere lop's woolly fur

Hello

We have a beautiful Cashmere Lop cross breed from our local rescue. Her fur is approx 2" long all over and very silky, until she starts to moult. Then her fur seems to turn into cottonwool from the base near her skin. She ends up lumpy. Our rescue center advised leaving it until the woolly bit has grown out. This never seems to happen. We currently very carefully cut the big lumps off but neither bunny or us enjoys this. We have tried a beard trimmer to shave her but it didt get through the fur. We cant brush or comb it out - it really is like cottonwool and her skin is so delicate. On top of all this she hates being handled! Any help and advice is very much appreciated.

Maria
