Subject: my rabbit has something unusual on her leg, plz help

I have only had my rabbit about 2 weeks. She is between 3 and 4 months of age, and we think she is probably a mini-rex because of her looks and size. My friend, who had too many pets (but cared for her well while he had her) gave her to me. Evidentally she was returned to a pet store because she had bumps on her ribs and could not be re-sold, so he took her in. I can't find any bumps on her ribs, but today when we let her out of her hutch to run around the house she had developed a round lump on one thigh that is under the skin, but the top of it is either a scab or she has clumped the fur from nibbling at it. she has the same thing on the other side of her leg but it is smaller, and to the touch appears to be clumped fur where she maybe laid on a dropping. That is what the larger lump looked like at first, so we assumed (because she likes to poop in and also sit in her food bowl) that she had something stuck to her and assumed it would fall off as we did not want to scare her or hurt her by removing it ourselves. The bigger lump is maybe the size of a penny and perfectly round. She is eating and playing normally and does not seem to feel pain when we touch it. PLEASE HELP- WE ARE VERY WORRIED!!
