There may be a number of reasons for your rabbit's death. One possibility is that your bunny was taken from her mother at too young an age. Pet rabbit babies aren't fully weaned until about 8 weeks old, and they should not be removed from the mother's care before then. Mucoid enteritis often strikes babies that have been taken away too early. Symptoms include refusal to eat and diarrhea.
