Subject: What can I safely give my rabbit to chew on?

I have a nine week old male rabbit who is just starting to enjoy chewing on his cage. He eats hay, pellets and RSPCA rabbit mix containing seeds, pellets etc. I have read that branches of certain trees are OK to give them to chew on, eg fruit trees, but what kind? Can I give him bottle brush twigs or branches at all? Also is it true he will become aggressive if not desexed, and if so, how old should he be when I get him done?

Thanks!
