Subject: My bunny has also a white spot in his eye

I have noticed my 5 month old bunny has a small white spot on his eye.
A few days ago I noticed he seemed to be keeping that eye more closed than the other and the skin around the eye was a little red. Only yesterday I saw the spot. I am wondering whether my (friendly) cat scratched him (he chases her around the house!)or whether it is a common problem. I have made an appointment with the vet. Any suggestions until then???
