I was wondering how you know there's excess calcium in his urine? My rabbit has no teeth problems but his urine leaves a white residue. If this is what you're seeing, I thought it was normal.

Calcium absorption is aided by Vitamin D in humans and I believe I read somewhere it's the same in rabbits. Vitamin D is produced by sunlight hitting the skin or, as I think I read, the fur. Does your rabbit see sunlight at all? If he is indoors all the time he may need to be taken outdoors occasionally. My rabbit gets outside (in his cage) about once every one or two weeks for about 20 minutes, and receives diffuse natural light in his room every day.
