Subject: Sick Rabbit from Shelter

The local animal shelter uses me for song birds, rabbits, and other small animals that they don't handle. I picked up a rabbit yesterday that looks as if someone had stuffed its ears with oatmeal, and the inner and outer surfaces of the long ear, as well as the back of the neck, are "plastered" with the same substance. I can't identify any disease, and the rabbit's appetite and bowels are good. Any identification ideas? Any medication references? Thanks!
