Subject: trashing hutch at bedtime

My 5 month old female rabbit spends her days in an outdoor run and of an evening is inside playing and interacting with us. When it comes to bedtime, she knows and is often difficult to catch and return to her hutch. Once there, she tears and rips the newspaper, scrabbles at the bars and throws her food bowl around the hutch. This can go on for half an hour before she quietens. Why does this happen and is there anything I can do to stop it?
