Hi Simona

Rabbits eat a special kind of poop called cecal pellets to ensure they get every bit of nutrition out of the food they get. It looks nothing like their normal poops that you see laying around. It's dark, sticky and smelly. There's a good picture of it here

<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.rabbit.org/chapters/san-diego/diet/cecals.html">http://www.rabbit.org/chapters/san-diego/diet/cecals.html</a>

If she's eating the cecal's that's a very good sign as the biggest problem with sick rabbits is the failure to do so. If you start seeing a lot of cecals laying around the area, or obviously loose, runny poops, then get her checked by the vet. Keep her diet healthy, with lots of hay and fresh greens.

As you noted the treatment is long term, but with tlc she will pull through this.

Melony
