Two major comments - I am a relatively new bunny owner and recent fanatic. From experience(we have 2 rabbits a male and a female) and what I've read, males tend to be calmer and more loving(again this is in general). The male is a mini Holland Lop and as sweet and cute as can be but lops according to my vet are more prone to some illness than the other breeds. Also seriousely consider a rabbit rescue. They will let you meet and spend time with the animal to determine if its a good personality for you and they tend to be already fixed- save you the hastle and also a little older which means easier to train. We have 2 about 4 months and the training and age thing is an issue. If I had it to do all over again I would definately go to a rescue.
