Subject: My Bunnies dont like to be held, can they be trained?

My Bunnies (neutered male and spayed female)dont like to be held, can they be trained to like it or at least not mind it? they love petting when theyre on the floor but run from my arms if I try to pick them up and squirm and breath really heavy when I hold them for nail trims (which is really the only reason they have to be held). I would like to be able to have them on my lap to pet though. thanks
